Description
When unmanned aerial vehicles or submersibles equipped with LiDAR conduct topographicsurveying and mapping, the platforms are subject to disturbances from aerial air currents orocean currents, generating continuous high-frequency slight jolts, vibrations and yaw.Fiber Strapdown Inertial Navigation Systems feature an update rate ranging from 200 Hz to 1000Hz. They record the platform's absolute attitude angles (Roll, Pitch, Yaw) instantaneously andwithout latency at the exact moment each laser pulse is emitted.

Aircraft are prone to subtle jitters and yaw under airflow during aerial survey. Even a tiny 0.01° attitude deviation will cause obvious ghosting and offset of LiDAR point clouds. Fiber-optic strapdown INS works at 200-1000Hz high frequency to record real-time flight attitude, completes accurate motion deskewing for point clouds, and finally produces centimeter-level high-precision 3D terrain models.
